July 4th Parade 2008
Photo Intensive:
Potentially Long Load Time

Rack up another successful, fun-filled parade for the Grizzly Flats Community!

People arrived early to pick up some "bling" and decorations provided by G FORCE

Our boys in blue (& trucks in red) got back from fighting the California fires
just in time to let the sirens and and lights wail for our parade.

No calendar yet, guys?   Awww, c'mon, we love you!  Give it up!

Taking it to the street!!  ...or "road," as it were:

Lynn Shetley and her million watt smile lit up the beginning of the parade

You'd better believe Kevin Hill loves his new tractor!

Sarge gives us one of the many million
dollar smiles from that day.

Local musician, Frank Shortt passes his talent down generationally as
his grandson, Tim, strapped on a backpack amp and played for us!

A truck full of kiddos!

Brent Seibert brought out the GF Community Services District
truck to brighten up the day.

Then came our guys!

And then.... could it be?  YES!!

THE QUEENS OF GRIZZLY FLATS!!

And their very, very handsome driver and devastatingly gorgeous escort!

Jed Taylor and his wife, Terry, drew many smiles with their
vintage car full of happy, waving people.

Don't be sad, Lee!  We'll be back for Christmas!!

Another fabulous smile from Ruth Tomlin!

...as well as the Coca Cola Kiddies!

Frank & Sharon Shortt

Bob Greene
What's in the bag, Bob?

Lynn & Dale Shetley

Tom Criel

Back home again.

The Boss Queen with Lance Romance,
Official Escort of the Queens.

And the Killer Queen with the Official
Driver to the Queens

Everyone lined up early for Burger Night afterwards,
which was actually BBQ chicken night.

Give us your munny, hunny!

The real men of the community working hard at the grill

The line kept growing...and the people kept coming!

Are we going to have enough potato salad??

There is little we enjoy more than to hear Boo Davidson sing
and she was in rare form for our July 4th event!
We love you, Boo!!

Robin Kelley actually had a table full of baked goods.

All in all, it was a fantastic day!

We look forward to seeing you for the Christmas
parade on (tentatively) December 20th!

Community members, if there is a photo here of yourself for which you would like
the original,
please contact me and I will do my best to get it to you.

Many thanks to Lynn Shetley, Bronte Lukanish and Patricia Branham for allowing
their personal photos of this event to be posted on Grizzly Flats Online.
