For the un-initiated, Burger Night is a weekly party that the community of Grizzly Flats, California has every Friday from mid-June through the end of August. At 6pm, the town begins to line up for a grilled dinner to eat together. By 8pm, it's down to the hard core survivors who will clean up and put the tables and chairs away. The town's elite big dog alpha males jockey for position behind the grills and the female elite get busy on the buffet line. For $3, you can get a grilled burger, hot dog, polish sausage or veggieburger with all the fixin's, salad, potato chips, potato salad, chili, melon (watermelon AND cantaloupe), cookies, tea and lemonade. In 2007, our series of Burger Nights started on June 15 and looked like this:
