Grizzly Flats 3rd Annual Founder's Day

G FORCE hosted its 3rd Annual Founder's Day on June 7th, 2009.  Pretty near the whole community turned out with smiles, ready for some frontier fun.

Deputy Sheriff Lynn Shetley, going out to make an arrest with a smile on her face.

Sheriff Dale has already rounded up some desperados

Even the queen did some time!  (That's my son Dylan in the middle)

and Dyl on the left with Scott and Spencer, banging the bars with those jailhouse cups.

The Fire Department quickly got into the spirit of jailing one another...

...and soon, a line formed for arrest warrants.  Those filing warrants had to fill in "Who Dun It?"  "What'd They Do?" and "Who'd They Do It To?"

Doing hard time in the big house

Frank and the Shortt Gap Band played before we could get photos (and were wonderful).

This is the Back East Boys, who were really rocking out!

The band takes a break to try the free spaghetti dinner.

The "Spin to Win" wheel got  a LOT of attention.  You could win a prize, candy or an arrest warrant!

Many vendors shared their wares with us and the back of the fire station was filled with 3 tables full of raffle items.

Mary Jordan and Jodie Pony gave rides and took photos

Eric (without his trademark long hair!) hosted a gold panning contest

Darlene provided beautiful face painting

Tina's Petting Zoo was a tremendous hit

Yes, these baby chickens came home with me...all 8 of them.

Everyone's favorite was this tiny, runt bunny.

(My son, Nathan)

Andrea from Andie's Images took beautiful Historical Photos with lots of props and costumes

Here, Andrea helps Shasta Devlin into costume.

These are photos of my kids, Nathan and Delena:

Didn't they come out great??

All in all, more smiles than the community has seen in a while and that makes us happy.  :)
