Donations

G Force hosted its first event on November 11, 2006 which was the community's first Founder's Day.  As a brand new organization, we had absolutely no clue how our efforts would be received or what Grizzly Flats planned to do with (or to) us.  We funded the entire event out of our own pocketbooks because we believed so strongly in the notion that Grizzly Flats loves a party and needs fun things to do throughout the year.  Although each of the board members had extensive experience in event planning and public relations, we were untried in this area and had no idea what to expect.  It rained.  It rained and rained and rained and Grizzly Flats residents poured out in droves for the event even as the rain poured from the skies.  I think it is safe to say that "a good time was had by all" and the success of that event pushed us eagerly toward parades, dinners, bingo and other fantabulous events over the interim years. 

Fortunately, now that people know us and our reputation for throwing an incredibly fun party, they are a little more willing to help us out.  Money raised through G FORCE events and received in donation form from private citizens and other organizations helps G FORCE to give to local families in need, support local charity causes and provide additional funding to Grizzly Pines Elementary School.  Supplemental school funding has become even more critical as severe budget cuts have been imposed upon California schools.

In additional to financial, time and energy donations, below are the actual items that could be donated to defray event costs:

Donate bingo prizes (October - April)

Donate prizes for Founder's Day raffle/auctions

Donate softball equipment (come on, you know you have
some in your attic or garage you aren't using)

Donate roasters, coffee dispensers, tablecloths,
paper plates, plastic forks/spoons/knives and other
food preparation/serving items appropriate for large group service.

Donate food items for events.

Sponsor the Bounce House for Founder's Day ($250).

Sponsor the Port-a-potty for Founder's Day!

Donate wine, beer, sodas, bottled water or
food items for Founder's Day and July 4th Party.

Provide historic Grizzly Flats photos (or other memorabilia) to be
enlarged for the Founder's Day live auction

Recently, G FORCE finalized procedures to become an official Non-Profit Corporation.  This means that when you donate to G FORCE, you can obtain our tax exempt ID # and claim your donation on your income tax itemizations.  Soon, you will be able to donate to G FORCE online using your credit card or PayPal account.

Donations are critical to what G FORCE does for the Grizzly Flats community.  We encourage you to give generously to this very worthwhile cause.  Not only do G FORCE funds benefit the charitable causes mentioned above, but they also fund the wonderful events Grizzly Flats community members enjoy through the year, most of which are completely free to the public. These include Thanksgiving and Easter dinners, the Christmas and July 4th parade and Sunday Softball for the community.

When you give to G FORCE, G FORCE uses your donation to give back to the Grizzly Flats community.  All proceeds stay within the Grizzly Flats community.
